cows on the run

Heading home on the bus from Buncrana, we came upon some loose cows.

here the bus driver used his bus to help round up the cows.  It worked and they headed down the road that is on the right (where the silver car is).  When we passed the guy who was the owner, he gave the bus driver a thumbs up.

  1. Ha Bill, fantastisch toch om dit 'n keer mee te maken, wel gevaarlijk natuurlijk die losgebroken koeien.

  2. Hi Bill

Delicious so calm in a village everything yet.
    Away from the city bustle.

  3. I wonder if the driver of the car was also the cowboy.

  5. The cows certainly felt the spring in the air and decided for a walk. Lucky it all ended well thanks to the busdriver.

  6. The bus driver acted well. It's a relieve that the cows didn't cause any accidents.

  8. "Head 'em up, move 'em out! Yee-haw!", as we say here in the States.

  9. Just one of the many skills required to be a rural bus driver!

  10. They must be like me, always wanting to see what's around the bend.

  11. Funny, but those darn cows will do pretty much anything they want if they get loose! Catch 'em and milk 'em!

  12. You never know what you'll encounter on a country road. Here, if cows are on the loose, it makes the provincial news.

  13. Glad they were safely rounded up! Reminds me of the fun Irish postcards of an Irish traffic jam!

  14. Looks like something that would happen here in my small Kentucky town. Love it!

  15. Sweet of the bus driver! Cattle on the road in rural India is a regular feature!

  16. Glad they got rounded up! Late one night we came upon a couple of cows in rural Virginia, wandering down the middle of the road. I honked my horn, hoping to attract their owner's attention by no one came. I drove slowly behind them, hoping no other traffic would approach. Soon the cows headed up a lane toward a farm, so I guess they were okay.

  17. Glad they got off the road. I remember coming upon a sizable flock of sheep on an Irish road once, many years ago.

  19. Your bus driver has probably had to do that before! How fun to watch.

  21. You have very interesting happening in the streets.. :)

  22. Those cows must be relatives of those in India that casually walk the streets.

  23. Good thinking on the part of the bus driver; obviously the cows' owner thought so too and was grateful for his help.
